"Weldon is a thriving village community near Corby in Northamptonshire, England. Steeped in history, it has provided work and shelter since the Roman occupation of Britain".

Historically known as "Weldon in the Woods" referring to its location in Rockingham Forest, it has also been known as "Great and Little Weldon" until relatively recently.

Quarrying and Agriculture, for many generations the key sources of employment, continue today in lesser roles as the village evolves in the 21st Century.

Whatever your interest in Weldon, I hope this site will be of value. I appreciate all feedback and suggestions to help improve the site.
