Built within earshot of Weldon with a seated capacity of 52,000, Rockingham Speedway continues to be a controversial topic within the village.Noise from the circuit can be obtrusive in certain areas of the village, particularly dependant on the wind direction.
The expected capacity crowds have not materialised, so traffic congestion has not posed as much of a problem as expected.
